A Dalit youth Raj Kumar Choudhary, who was one of the hundreds of students from Bihar assaulted by MNS activists in Mumbai, lodged a complaint against Raj Thackeray and other 22 unidentified MNS activists with the Gorul police station in Hajipur on Thursday.

Vaishali Superintendent of Police Paras Nath told rediff.com that Choudhary's complaint was forwarded to the Mumbai police commissioner for instituting a case against Raj Thackeray and others.

Raj Thackeray was charged of instigating a mob to attack Choudhary and others in Mumbai.

Police sources said the complaint has merit to be lodged under the section of SC/ST Atrocity Act as the complainant belonged to the Schedule Caste and was attacked and beaten up in which his hands had fractured.
