Pakistan: 100 schoolchildren taken hostage October 29, 2008 13:49 IST Over 100 children were on Wednesday taken hostage by militants in Pakistan's troubled northwest tribal region bordering Afghanistan. A group of 10-12 militants entered a state-run school in Darwaz Gai area of Mohmand tribal agency after a gun battle with security forces and took over the premises. Some 100 children were inside the school, TV channels reported.
