With Abdul Subhan Usman Qureshi alias Tauqeer emerging as most wanted person in connection with the serial blasts in Delhi, Delhi police and central security agencies have launched a massive hunt to nab him.

Believed to have traveled to the national capital and Uttar Pradesh two weeks before the Saturday blasts, Tauqeer is accused of masterminding a series of bombings in the country.

Will Delhi blasts end up like other unsolved cases?

Based on forensic evidence, Tauqeer is also said to be the person who has been signing 'Al-Arbi' e-mails issued by the Indian Mujahideen after each strike.

According to interrogation of the accused arrested in connection with the Ahmedabad serial blasts, Tauqeer obtained a diploma in industrial electronics and landed a part-time job in Mazgaon. His parents hail from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh.

Later, in 1996, he went for a specialised software maintenance course from Marol.

He later joined a computer firm operating out of Fort area in south Mumbai in November 1996. He handled several major independent projects, including an intranet implementation for Bharat Petro Chemicals carried out by Wipro in 1999, and then got a job with a computer major.

Central intelligence agencies have begun to reconstruct Tauqeer's career in terror but no one is certain about how he was recruited.

Tauqeer appears to have been a committed activist of the Students Islamic Movement of India. He was charged with defacing public property by pasting SIMI posters. Later, he went on to edit one of SIMI's house-magazines -- Islamic Voice -- from New Delhi.
