Premier Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday said that Pakistan will 'very soon' inform India about the findings of its probe into the Mumbai attacks after conducting a 'proper inquiry, of which transparency will be a focal point'.

"We are conducting the inquiry and very soon we will inform India (about our findings)," he said in his address at an official function in Islamabad to mark 'Kashmir Solidarity Day', observed by Pakistan on February 5 every year.

"We have assured the world that we are conducting a full investigation into the Indian dossier on the Mumbai attacks. As soon as we receive the final point of view of the Law Ministry, we will take the whole nation, the world and India into confidence," Gilani said.

He said his government had taken steps to ensure the transparency of the investigation into the Indian dossier so that "the world will be convinced and it will be easy to convince India that we conducted a proper inquiry".

"We will do justice. We will make transparency a focal point (in the probe) so that no one in the world can point out that our inquiry was not transparent. But at the same time, we will act according to Pakistan's laws," Gilani said.

He also said that 'whatever the outcome' of the probe, Pakistan will ensure that its soil is not used for terrorism.
