Soon after Mumbai Police Commissioner Hassan Gaffoor on Thursday spoke elaborately about the involvement of 14-16 Indians involved in the 26/11 terror attacks, Joint Commissioner of Police Rakesh Maria, who is probing the terror attacks, refuted the contention.

Maria told the media that only two Indians were involved in the attacks – Fahim Ansari and Sabauddin – and they were currently in custody. No other Indian was involved, he said.

Following the clarification from Maria, Gaffoor sang a different tune, and said that what he had meant was that 16 persons were involved in the terror attacks. Nine of them were killed, one is in custody with us, two others have been arrested, and four handlers are based in Pakistan, he said.
