Cabinet Secretary KM Chandrasekhar has convened a Committee of Secretaries on Friday to create a single window portal for providing end-to-end G2B services cutting across multiple agencies within the government. This is aimed at bringing aam aadmi nearer to the government. This project is likely to be commissioned in 2010.

Fifteen secretaries to the Centre include Commerce, Revenue, Industries, are attending this unique meeting on Friday.

"The five-page notes prepared for this meeting speaks of "Unique value propositions of eBiz portal- single window and integration.'

While there are several portals and websites of Central, state and local governments that provide one or the other G2B services the justification for the eBiz Mission Mode Projects arises from two unique value propositions it make.

eBiz seeks to provide significant value addition  by offering integrated services of cutting across multiple agencies within the government so as to reduce the burden of regulatory and compliance requirements  and saving cost and time significantly to all stake holders.

For example, by bringing together information and services provided by the various government agencies into a common service platform, eBiz enables its customers to find out all the required information and carry out all transaction pertaining to that service  without having to navigate to different websites.

Customers need only to do one-time submission of application for a service and then be able to receive the results from different agencies just through that one submission. Integrated services required by business include information on business opportunities, start up services, licencing and business funding.
