Australia lead in Davis Cup November 29, 2003 13:45 IST Wayne Arthurs and Todd Woodbridge teamed up to beat Alex Corretja and Feliciano Lopez 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 and give Australia a 2-1 lead over Spain in the Davis Cup final.
The result left Australia needing to win just one of Sunday's two reverse singles matches to win the Davis Cup for the 28th time. Spain need to win both concluding matches to win the trophy for a second time. Mark Philippoussis and Juan Carlos Ferrero, who were both beaten in Friday's opening singles, play first on Sunday followed by Lleyton Hewitt and Carlos Moya.
