The England captain, who left Manchester United for Spanish giants Real Madrid exactly a year ago, is considering moving to either Chelsea or Premiership champions Arsenal.

Sources said Beckham is finding it hard to cope with long periods of separation from his wife Victoria and sons Brooklyn and Romeo.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal have potential vacancies on the right side of midfield and are believed to have already approached the world's most recognizable player.

Last week it was reported that Beckham's representatives had made contact with the Chelsea management and discussed his moving after Euro 2004. Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri too had confirmed the club's interest in Beckham, saying he could be signed on along with Brazilian ace Ronaldo.

The real reason for Beckham's return to UK is: Real Madrid is very annoyed with Beckham's frequent UK trips and indulgement with recent sexual allegations ...
