Goa drub Gujarat March 06, 2004 17:53 IST Star studded Goa drubbed Gujarat 5-1 to lift the Under-21 West Zone National Football championship at the Sawai Mansingh stadium at Jaipur on Saturday. Goa dominated the proceedings in the finals and though Gujarat put up a decent show it could not match the rivals who boasted of professional players amidst their ranks. The eventual champions led 2-1 at the breather and scored three more goals in second half to complete the scoreline. Joe Rodrigues struck twice while Zico Desouza, Lector Caido and William Colaco scored a goal each for the winners while Santosh Pal netted the consolation goal for Gujarat.
