Keane charged with assault September 22, 2004 11:41 IST Manchester United captain Roy Keane was charged with assault and criminal damage on Tuesday for a fight on September 4, police said.
A police source said the charges relate to a fight with a 16-year-old boy near Keane's home in the wealthy Manchester neighbourhood of Hale.

The Ireland international is due to appear before Trafford Magistrates on Thursday, Greater Manchester Police said in a statement.
