Sporting Clube de Goa thrashed Churchill Brothers 4-0 in a 14th round match of the National Football League at the Nehru Stadium in Margao on Thursday. The win helped Sporting Clube climb to third place in the points table.

Sporting Clube also avenged the 3-1 defeat it had suffered at the hands Churchill in the first leg.

Bibiano Fernandes (64th minute), Joseph Pereira (72nd and 74th) and Adebayo Adewusi (79th) scored for the winner. Bibiano was adjudged the Man of the Match.

Sporting Clube now has 26 points, while Churchill, which suffered its seventh defeat, remained on 10th place with 13 points.
