Paes-Zimonjic triumph

April 18, 2005 15:07 IST

Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia and Montenegro won the doubles title in the Monte Carlo Tennis Masters Series at Monaco.

The fifth seeded pair emerged champions after getting a walkover from their third seeded opponents Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan of the United States.

The Bryans were forced to pull out after Mike suffered a shoulder injury.

In the semis, Paes-Zimonjic had beaten fourth seeds Wayne Arthurs and Paul Hanley of Australia 6-3, 6-4 while third seeds Bob and Mike beat the French duo of Michael Llodra and Fabrice Santoro 6-0, 6-4.
