World Cup countdown on television

As a build up to the FIFA World Cup in Germany, Discovery channel will show a six-part series chronicling the emergence of great teams and players in collaboration with FIFA, the world governing body for football.

The series, to be shown at 9 pm IST on Fridays from April 28, would have exclusive footage from FIFA's film archive and recollections from the greats of the game including Franz Beckenbauer, Zinedane Zidane, Michel Platini and Dino Zoff, a media release said on Wednesday.

The series titled "More Than a Game" is to feature great teams like Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Italy, France and England, the release added.
