India finally got on to the gold medal tally at the Asian Games as Koneru Humpy outplayed her final opponent, Dana Aketayeva of Kazhakstan, to grab the yellow metal on Monday. Humpy, who had been shocked in the sixth round by Atousa Porukashiyan made no mistake on Monday, scoring with three straight victories to finish with eight points of a possible nine. The Indian men failed to pick any medal.
