Bhupathi-Malisse bow out June 05, 2006 19:17 IST Mahesh Bhupathi's campaign in the men's doubles at the French Open ended with a three-set loss in the quarter-finals on Monday. Bhupathi, a two-time champion at Roland Garros, and Belgium's Xavier Malisse went down to Andrei Pavel of Romania and Germany's Alexander Waske 2-6, 6-2, 6-1. Bhupathi, however, is still in contention for the mixed doubles crown. In the juniors' section, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan bowed out in the second round after a 6-2, 6-2 loss to top seed Thierno de Bakker of the Netherlands. On Sunday, Sanaa Bhambri went out of the girls' singles. The Delhi girl lost to Anouk Tigu of the Netherlands 6-3, 5-7, 6-2 in the first round.
