Anup Sridhar attains career-best ranking

Anup Sridhar, India's top singles player, attained a career best ranking of 25, according to the latest Badminton World Federation's (BWF) ranking list.

India's top women's player Saina Nehwal [Images] too is ranked 25, followed by Trupti Murgunde at 79 in singles, according to statement from the Tata Padukone Badminton Academy.

National champion Chetan Anand is placed at 39.

In the women's doubles, India's top combination, Jwala Gutta and Sruthi Kurien are placed at 26.

Sridhar, meanwhile, is recovering from a heel injury and will miss the French Super Series event in Paris.

He hopes to recover fully and play the China Super Series and Hong Kong Open Super Series during the third and fourth week of November.
