NSE slides 3.05 points

Pivotals slipped further on the National Stock Exchange due to lack of buying support from financial institutions.

The NSE-50 index opened at 1086.65 points touched the day's high of 1102.60 points, a low of 1074.55 points, to closed at 1083.00 points, a small drop of 3.05 points against the previous close of 1086.05 points. The dollar NSE-50 index closed at 950.30 points, losing 2.50 points over the yesterday's close of 952.80 points.

The Midcap Index finished at 1235.75 points as compared to the last working day's close of 1232.85 points, dropping 2.9 points. The total turnover on the exchange was Rs 1710.72 points, involving 63.72 million shares in 1,95,861 trades.

The traded value of debentures was Rs 17.23 million.
