Bio bill for patents in next session of Parliament

The Biological Diversity Bill would be presented in the next session of Parliament to defeat the efforts of the United States to patent Indian botanical plants, according to Union Minister of State for Forests and Environment Babulal Marandi.

Marandi said a meeting of forest ministers and secretaries has been convened in New Delhi to discuss the bill.
