 Giltfin Lease DQ 99 Net Loss at Rs 2.269 million (DQ98 Loss Rs 1.793 Million)
 Giltfin Lease Ltd has declared a net loss of Rs 2.269 million for the quarter ended December 3, 1999 as against a loss of Rs 1.793 million for DQ 98. The Income for the quarter is Rs 1.177 million compared to Rs 1.827 million DQ 98, a decrease of 35.57%.

 Mintage Electro foray into export oriented Software
 The Board of Directors of Mintage Electro Equipments Ltd at its meeting held today has decided to venture into Information Technology business with specific thrust on export oriented offshore software development. The company shall also concentrate on computer and web based training technologies and hosting of portals to develop E-business operating out of the Software Technology Park. The Board has authorised Mr.Subramaniam, the MD of the company, to discuss and finalise the terms and conditions with the overseas partner M/s RGN System LLC, USA for equity participation and for undertaking the offshore business. He shall also represent the company for negotiating with M/s Garner Group for their consultancy in setting up software business.

 Mid East Portfolio Management EGM to consider private placement
 The Board of Directors of Mid East Portfolio Management Ltd has called an Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the company on March 30, 2000, to consider the issue of 1,000,000 equity shares of Rs 10/- each no private placement basis.

 Strike at Indian Rayon's Veraval Viscose Filament Rayon plant, other units unaffected
 Due to a strike called by a section of workers of Viscose Filament Rayon (VFR) plant of Indian Rayon and Industries Ltd at Veraval (Gujarat), the operations of this plant has come to halt with effect from March 11, 2000. However, the operations of Caustic Soda plant and 16.5 MW Co-generation captive power plant at Veraval have not been affected and these plants are working normally. The total turnover of VFR plant of the company constitutes around 21% of the total turnover of the company. The strike is said to be illegal and unjustified.

 Pfizer Net profit FQ 2000 up by 60.73 % at Rs 65.90 million, Bonus at 1:1
 Pfizer Ltd has announced a net profit of Rs 65.90 million for the quarter ended February 29 2000 as compared to a net profit of Rs 41 million for the corresponding quarter in the previous year. The sales for FQ 2000 is Rs 721.60 million as against Rs 647 million in FQ99. Other income for the quarter is Rs 87.70 million. To coincide with the Golden Jubilee year the Board has recommended issue of Bonus shares in the ratio of one fully paid equity share for every one fully paid share held.

 Odyssey Video to consider preferential issue
 The Board of Directors of Odyssey Video Communications Ltd will meet on March 17, 2000 to consider besides an increase in the authorised capital of the company, to issue equity shares on preferential basis to promoters and promoters groups, FIIs, NRIs, OCBs, MFs and others. The Board also proposes to discuss the matter of investment in shares of companies having synergy of business in excess of prescribed limits.

 TVS Electronics to consider interim dividend
 The Board of Directors of TVS Electronics Ltd has decided to consider the declaration of an interim dividend for the year ended December 31, 1999. The Board shall meet on March 15, 2000 to for the same.

 Titan Industries to consider Interim Dividend
 The Board of Directors of Titan Industries Ltd will meet on March 31, 2000 to consider the declaration of an interim dividend for the financial year 1999-2000.

 Asian Paints to consider second Interim Dvidend
 The Board of Directors of Asian Paints (India) Ltd will meet on March 30, 2000 to consider the payment of second interim dividend for the financial year ended March 31, 2000.

 Darjeeling Plantation Industries Board approves merger scheme
 The Board of Directors Darjeeling Plantation Industries Ltd at its meeting held today (11/03/2000), has approved the merger of Katalguri Tea Company Ltd (KTCL), The Eriabarie Tea Company Ltd (ETCL), and Lectra Tracom Pvt. Ltd (ETPL) with Darjeeling Plantations Industries Ltd (DPIL). The Board has proposed the swap ratio of 1:10 (one share of DPIL for every Ten shares of KTCL) for KTCL, 1:2 for ETCL and 1:3 for LTPL. The swap ratio is subject to approval of the shareholders and other authorities. The board has also approved, subject to approval of shareholders to change the name of the company to DPIL Ltd. The Board has decided to issue, not more than 1,000,000 equity shares of Rs 10/- each, at a premium of Rs 140/- per share to Veeraswamy's restaurant of Regent Street Ltd, London and/or its nominees. Board has also approved, subject to approval of shareholders of the company to issue equity shares, not exceeding 7,000,000 in number, at a premium of not less than Rs 60/- per share and not exceeding Rs 74/- per share.

 EIH Ltd to consider interim dividend
 The Board meeting of EIH Ltd is scheduled to be held on March 24, 2000 to consider payment of interim dividend and to fix the record date for that purpose.

 Siyaram Silk Mills to consider interim dividend
 The Board meeting of Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd is scheduled on March 27, 2000 to consider payment of interim dividend and to fix the record date for that purpose.

 Garware-Wall Ropes declares 20% interim dividend
 The Board of Directors of Garware-Wall Ropes Ltd at its meeting held today (11/03/2000) has decided to pay an interim dividend at the rate iof 20% on the paid up capital of the company. The total payout on account of the interim dividend shall be Rs 3.92 crore. The Board has also decided at its meeting decided, subject to approval of the shareholders to appoint Mr Ramesh B. Garware as the Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

 The members of BSE who were earlier advised not to deal in the shares of the under mentioned have been informed that trading in the shares of the said companies shall resume with effect from March 13, 2000.

 Eonour Software to be listed on BSE on March 13, Monday
 Chennai-based Eonour Software Ltd will be listed on the BSE on March 13, 2000, Monday. The shares of the company are already listed on the Chennai, Ahmedabad and Madhya Pradesh (regional) stock exchanges. Eonour Software Ltd was incorporated on May 6, 1992 in the state of Madhya Pradesh under the name of Mikugura Software Ltd. The company went public in the month of January 1996. The management of the company has changed since the close of open offer on Jan 3, 2000 following which the name of the company was changed to its current name. The company has been carrying the business of software development ever since its incorporation. The company's entire development center is been shifted to Chennai and additional people have been recruited to meet the growth demands on e-commerce solutions. The company is reported to have been building its expertise in net security as it expects the demand for the same to be exponential in the next one year. The company has also commenced the process of shifting the registered office from Indore to Chennai.

 Wadhwa and Dr Choudhary resign as directors of Malvika Steel Board
 Mr M.L.Wadhwa and Dr R L Choudhury have resigned as Directors of Malvika Steel Ltd. Consequently, Dr R L Choudhury has also resigned as the resigned as the Wholetime Director of the company w.e.f. March 29, 2000. In view of the above the Board has appointed Mr K C Gupta and Mr J R Gupta as Additional Directors of the company. Mr K C Gupta has also been appointed as Wholetime Director of the company w.e.f. March 10, 2000.
