Krushi Bank scam case entrusted to CIDSyed Amin Jafri in Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday announced that the Krushi Co-operative Urban Bank scam would be handed over to the Crime Branch-- Crime Investigation Department of the state police for a thorough and in-depth investigation of the issue. The chief minister, in a statement, asserted: "There is no question of leaving anybody and all those who are involved in the scam will be identified and punished. No one, however powerful or influential he may be, will be allowed to go scot-free." He asked the investigating officials to take up the probe as a 'case-study' and examine it from all angles. He also wanted the CID to study the functioning of cooperative urban banks. He said that the properties and assets of those responsible for the scam would be seized and distributed among the genuine depositors of Krushi Bank. He expressed anguish over the scam and the difficulties faced by thousands of depositors. He said that all those responsible for the scam would be arrested and chargesheeted at the earliest. |
