Market@March 12: Day's report

The carnage in software stocks continued with most of the stocks like Himachal, Global, Wipro, SSI, Digital, Silverline, Rolta, NIIT and Pentamedia hitting the lower 16 per cent band.

Infosys and Satyam too were down more than 10 per cent. There was no respite for pivotals.

Tata Power and Telco hit the lower circuit. Among other significant losers are Tisco, ITC, MTNL, ACC, SBI, Reliance Petro, Mahindra & Mahindra, Gujarat Ambuja, Bhel and Tata Tea. These stocks are down more than 3 per cent each.

Sensex down 114 points at 3767. Nifty down 57 points at 1197.

Losers: Between 7.9 per cent to 16 per cent
