Review Tera Mera Saath Rahen

Sukanya Verma

The music of Mahesh Manjrekar's Tera Mera Saath Rahen, starring Ajay Devgan, Sonali Bendre and Namrata Shirodkar, is 11 songs long.

With an album as lengthy as that, one naturally expects decent music.

But the works of music directors Anand Raj Anand and Rahul Ranade falters...and how!

Sonali Bendre and Ajay Devgan in TMSR The album kicks off with the title song Tera mera saath rahen by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik. A fairly above average ditty, this one remains the only catchy number in the entire album.

Tujhse bichad ke by Udit Narayan and Haathon ki lakeeron are two versions of the same tunes.

Alka Yagnik, accompanied by Udit Narayan, sounds off tune in the mundane Pehli nazar.

Dum dum diga diga is completely devoid of any novelty. Instead it dishes out insipid strains. Also, singers Atul Kale and Bela Shinde fail to impress.

Atul Kale's Jumbo jet offers guidelines to novices while traveling in an airplane. This one, by guest composer Rahul Ranade, caters to the kids.

Ajay Devgan and Namrata Shirodkar in TMSR Romance lingers in Dil wahi bekarar hota hai, wherein Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik discuss the usual dil-dhadkan stuff. This one is average.

Ditto for Tadapti hai tarasti haii crooned disinterestingly again by Udit-Alka.

Hariharan and Alka Yagnik sizzle the scene with Main sochon. A breezy track that uses neat guitar notes.

Do not expect much from the music of Tera Mera Saath Rahen. Else you are in for a disappointment.
