Diaries reveal Mumbai link of Delhi terrorists

Police investigating the two Lashker-e-Tayiba terrorists killed in an encounter with police at Delhi's Ansal Plaza shopping mall on Sunday have uncovered 'some Mumbai connections' of the terrorists.

"The diaries recovered during the search operations on the bodies of the terrorists have revealed connections of one of the two terrorists with Mumbai," a police official said.

Without going into any details he said, "We are working on this information."

The terrorists are believed to have entered the capital from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh after staying there for some time, he said.

On Sunday, Delhi Police Special Cell sleuths killed the Pakistani terrorists in the basement parking area of the Plaza in Andrews Gunj area

Officials allege that the car used by the terrorists is the same that has been booked under a theft case in Muzaffarnagar eight days back.

The windscreen of the Maruti car had the registration number [UP-12b 9326] of Muzaffarnagar written on it, while the fake number plates on the front and rear of the vehicle bore the registration number [DL-8CB 3241] of Delhi.
