On a chapter that is close to his heart

The last chapter has a very interesting name: Happiness and meaning in life. This was inspired by a book that I was reading when I was just about to finish my book. In a passage in that book, the author argues that happiness can be attained only by people who live in the present. Only those who revisit the past and brace for the uncertainties of the future will find meaning, he argues. And he sums things up by saying that one can have only one of these two in life: happiness or meaning.
In my case, I have had the good fortune of experiencing both. I have found happiness and that too in abundance. And when I think of the future, it is really bright. I have not the slightest doubt that we will make this century India's century.
